The Keeper 1.5 in. x 12 ft. Lashing Strap 2-Pack is made for transporting marine and outdoor equipment on a roof rack, including kayaks, paddleboards, surfboards, and fishing or camping gear. What are lashing straps used for? Also called cam straps or roof rack straps, lashing straps secure kayaks, paddleboards, surfboards, and gear to a roof rack. Each strap's steel cam buckle is encased in a protective neoprene stretch cover that reduces scratching and marring of the surface and your vehicle, so you can strap down boards and boats with less worry about the finish. Each strap has a 400 lb. working load limit and a 1,200 lb. break strength. This pack includes two lashing straps. Inspect straps before each use and never exceed the working load limit.
